Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to information when you use Sequex: Number Puzzle ("Sequex", "the app"). Sequex is made by Krushna Subhash Dhokane ("I", "me"). In short: the game itself keeps your progress only on your phone and has no accounts, no servers and no analytics. The app shows ads from Google AdMob and offers a purchase through Google Play, and those Google services process some information as described below.
1. Who is responsible
Krushna Subhash Dhokane, developer of Sequex.
Email: krushupsc@gmail.com
2. What the app itself does not do
- No account, sign-in or registration.
- No servers of mine: the app's own code makes no internet requests. All puzzles are inside the app, and the game plays offline.
- No analytics, tracking or crash-reporting tools of my own.
- No access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files or messages.
- No chat, sharing or user-generated content.
- I do not receive, sell or rent any personal information.
3. Information stored on your phone
To work, the app keeps a small file in its private storage on your phone. It contains:
- your settings (sound, music, volume, haptics, theme, board look, whether you have seen How to play);
- your game progress: solved puzzles, best and total times, daily results and streaks, and any puzzle in progress;
- counters and times used to limit how often ads and the Remove ads offer appear;
- whether you own Remove ads, so the app stays ad-free when you are offline.
This information never leaves your phone through the app and is not sent to me. If you have turned on Android's device backup to your Google account, Android may include this file in your backup and restore it on a new phone; that backup is handled by Google under your account settings.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Sequex is free and shows ads from Google AdMob, provided by Google:
- a banner below a puzzle you have just solved (never while you are solving);
- occasional full-screen ads when you leave a solved puzzle's result, with limits on how often they appear;
- optional reward videos that you choose to watch for an extra hint.
To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app collects and sends information to Google, such as your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers, your IP address (from which approximate location can be inferred), information about the device and app, and your interactions with ads. Depending on your consent and settings, Google may use this information to show personalized ads. Ads in Sequex are requested with a "G" (general audiences) content rating.
Learn how Google uses this information: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Your consent and choices
- Consent: when the app starts, Google's User Messaging Platform checks whether privacy law where you are requires your consent for ads (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland). If so, a consent form is shown, and ads are requested only as your choice allows. Your choice is stored on your phone.
- Change your choice: where these rules apply, Settings shows Privacy options, where you can review or change your consent at any time.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your phone's Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads, depending on your phone).
- Remove ads: a one-time purchase removes the banner and full-screen ads.
- You can play without any internet connection; no ads are loaded then.
6. Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Sequex offers one optional, one-time in-app purchase, "Remove ads", through Google Play. Google Play handles the payment and your payment details; I never see them. The app receives from Google Play only whether you own the purchase (and a purchase reference needed to confirm it with Google Play), and keeps an "owned" flag on your phone. Your purchase is restored from Google Play on a new phone. Google's handling of purchases is described in the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play terms.
7. Summary of data and who processes it
| Data | Processed by | Purpose | Leaves the phone? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Settings and game progress | The app, on your phone | App functionality | No (except your own Android backup, if on) |
| Advertising ID and other device identifiers, IP address / approximate location, ad interactions, device and diagnostic information | Google (AdMob) | Showing and measuring ads, fraud prevention | Yes, to Google |
| Consent choice | Google User Messaging Platform | Respecting your privacy choices | Stored on the phone; used by Google when ads are requested |
| Purchase of Remove ads | Google Play | Processing and restoring the purchase | Handled by Google Play |
8. Retention and deletion
- Information on your phone stays until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app; either removes it. There is no copy on any server of mine to delete.
- Information processed by Google is kept under Google's own retention policies. You can manage it through your Google account and your phone's ad settings.
- Your purchase record is kept by Google Play so the purchase can be restored.
- For any question or request about your information, email me; as I hold no personal data about you, there will usually be nothing for me to delete.
9. Security
The app's data is stored in its private storage, protected by Android's app sandbox, and it holds nothing that identifies you. Communication with Google's services is handled by Google's software.
10. Children
Sequex is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are limited to a "G" content rating. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact me and I will help.
11. Permissions
The app asks for no special permissions. The Google ads and billing components add standard permissions for internet access, network state, access to the advertising ID and Google Play billing, which they need to work; none of them gives access to your personal files, location or contacts.
12. Changes to this policy
If the app's handling of information changes, I will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be reflected in the app's Google Play listing.
